this valentine’s day, why not give a loved one a card made entirely by hand in the UK?
each card is carefully crafted by The Paper Foundation using their unique PaperTex technique. the charcoal base is made from 100% recycled natural-fibre textile waste, created from recycled cotton T-shirts. the rose and merlot patchworked pieces are made from 100% cotton textile waste by the incredibly talented Junele in Dundee.
the card is then designed and assembled using the modern quilting and patchwork handwriting of new commodity, bringing together traditional craft and contemporary design.
The result is a greetings card that has been loved and nurtured at every stage of its creation - and can continue to be loved long after valentine’s day. it can be framed as a beautiful keepsake, or composted to enrich the earth once its journey is complete.
